Hi Bump, curious how you're justifying coaching students who are around the same rank as you are? No hate - long time viewer here!
Totally fair question, I'll go ahead and pin it too. First I'll give my copium answer: I've been Radiant multiple times before so my game knowledge isn't gonna just disappear even if I'm a lower rank now and I've also got a full Immortal 3 Act rank triangle as recently as the act that just ended. (Episode 8 Act 2) Real answer: Professional teams hire coaches to coach their professional rosters and some of those coaches are like Ascendant/Immortal 1. The ability to coach is completely seperate from your ability to play. And I think explaining things in an easy to understand way is a strong suit of mine, hence why I'm able to coach players well who are both at my current rank and even above it. Also if anyone feels that my rank is a problem and they don't want coaching from me, that's totally fine and they're free to pick a coach that better suits their wants/needs.
Aim will make you climb to immo easy af, but being smart/understanding the game will make you win even when you dont drop 30 every game. Rank means nothing nowadays. Even in immo 3, I see players that dont have basic understanding of the game.
If u look at coaches in other sports for example NBA coaches, even playing college isnt required although im sure it would help to have some semi pro experience. But you wouldnt expect every coach to have played in the nba right, so why would u expect every val coach to be radient?
